Great little gadget

Great little line counter, seems well made, easy to operate. Measurements come
in meters or feet which is a little odd (no yards), I just leave it on meters
and convert with my phone. I'm only using it to put backing on fly reels and it
measures the same going on or coming off. Works great for this purpose, can't
speak for actual fishing or trolling.

Use of the reline tool

I first checked and read all instructions in the manual sheet dealing with this
item. They were fairly east to understand and made using this item easier to
use. I started out relining all 15 reels in my boat while in storage with ease.

Very nice and accurate and HUGE upgrade in funtionality over previous Rapala models

I have never been a fan of fishing equipment "gimmicks" like this but this LED
model is highly Accurate, the line doesn't slip with the re-designed rubberized
spring loaded line holder and wheel , and the padded elastic strap works well to
prevent rotation especially when you use it over the hook holder on your rod. It
is NOT designed to be used on a spinning reel as compared to a baitcasting reel.
The display is tilt/rotatable to give you a great view and the LED display is
flat out gorgeous at night. This line counter will never replace my Lexa and
Diawa line counter reels, but this LED counter is handy and time saving when I
want troll with casting reel without switching to a dedicated line counter reel.
For $35 dollars, give it a shot and I'm sure you will like it.
