Underwhelmedbut maybe my own fault

I found this tape originally on the REI website, where it is marketed as an
nearly magical tape to fix nylon and camping-related fabrics. It is specifically
set as a superior alternative to iron patches (which wont work on nylon, since
irons tend to burn it or damage the fabric).

Now, I myself am no expert in this area, so please bear that in mind. But I have
not found this product to be the magical tape it was marketed to be. I have not
yet used it for the most difficult application for which I purchased it. I only
used it on an easier test piecebut it failed there immediately. As the
surrounding material pulled, the tapes adhesive gave way :(

After this, then, I am inclined to think that the only fix for truly serious
repairs to nylon and related fabrics is either some sort of industrial adhesive
or professional re-stitching. I am bummed, lol.

better than I expected.

I used the black tape on a tear in a Navy blue nylon hammock. it is not very
noticeable, very pliable, and very strong.
I did not get the clear color because of the reviews which show it is not
pliable, is thick, and the edges peel up easily. This black tape does none of
the above bad things. The black tape is very pliable nylon-like fabric tape.
thin but strong and super adhesive.
arrived faster than planned!
