The matches are protected by a rugged watertight case that features deep ridges, making it easy to remove the lid with wet or cold hands.​ Each storm match burns for up to 20 seconds, making it possible to ignite tinder easily. The durable case is watertight (IP67 Rated) and includes two strike pads - one along the body and one under the watertight bottom cap.
